Eight million households in 2025

The government's statistics office CBS expects the number of households in the Netherlands to grow by 800,000 to 8 million by the years 2025.

CBS demographer Jan Latten attributes the expected increase to the fact that more people are living alone. He says the number of one-person households is growing in all age categories.
