New head Concertgebouw orchestra named
Jan Raes, director of the Rotterdam Philharmonic, has been named the new director of Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw orchestra, replacing Jan Willem Loot who is retiring.
Raes has been at Rotterdam for four years and was responsible for solving a large number of organisational problems, says ANP news service.
