The mysterious benefactor who said he would buy up all the tickets for the launch of Rita Verdonk’s politicial party TON – at a cost of €135,000 –
has disappeared without handing over the money, the Telegraaf reports on Wednesday.

Nick van der L promised Verdonk ‘millions’, the paper says, without quoting sources. At the time Verdonk refused to reveal who the benefactor was, saying the donor preferred to stay in the background.
The ‘sale’ meant the tickets could be given away free.
