Women are greener than men
Monday 21 April 2008
Some 59% of women and 45% of men think the government is doing too little on environmental issues, according to research quoted by the Wegener regional newspapers on Saturday.
Women are also more likely to leave the car at home, take shorter showers, turn off the tap while cleaning their teeth and put on an extra sweater if they are cold.
And while 58% of the over-55s recycle their rubbish, only 45% of the under-35s do the same.
