RBS cuts jobs at ABN investment arm

Royal Bank of Scotland is poised to cut up to 7,000 jobs at ABN Amro’s investment bank division as it starts the integration of the unit into its own global markets operations, the Financial Times reports on Monday.

The paper says up to 25% of the 28,000 workforce could lose their jobs. Until now, job losses have been modest, but the Scottish bank is now under pressure to act more aggressively, the FT says.
