Dutch exports more than most in EU
Monday 28 April 2008
The Netherlands exported goods and services worth €401bn in 2007 making it the third biggest exporter in Europe behind Germany and France, the national statistics office CBS said on Monday.
As well as playing a vital role in the transport of goods, the Netherlands saw a significant rise in actual exports. If the trend continues, the Netherlands could overtake France this year, said the CBS.
Among the biggest Dutch export products are natural gas and foodstuffs.
