Wilders rejects Muslim tv offer to show film

Anti-Islam MP Geert Wilders on Sunday rejected an offer from the Dutch Muslim broadcaster NMO to show his controversial short film Fitna, reports ANP news service.

‘No way, NMO’ Wilders is reported as saying. The NMO had asked for the right to see the film in advance of screening to check it does not break the law.
Other controversial critics of Islam, such as former Dutch MP Ayaan Hirsi Ali and the murdered film-maker Theo van Gogh, have appeared on the Muslim tv channel.
Wilders plans to show his 15-minute film on the internet before April 1. However, on Saturday, website host Networks Solutions suspended the fitnathemovie.com website after receiving unspecified complaints about its contents.
In a statement, Network Solutions said it was investigating whether the site’s contents broke its ‘acceptable use’ policy.
The company’s terms of service include a ban on material that is ‘obscene, defamatory, libelous, unlawful, harassing, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar… hate propaganda… profane, indecent or otherwise objectionable material of any kind or nature’.
Wilders has said his film will show the Koran to be a fascist book which incites violence.
