Slovenian minister criticises Wilders' film
Tuesday 11 March 2008
The foreign affairs minister of Slovenia, which currently holds the EU presidency, has criticised Dutch MP Geert Wilders’ plan to screen his anti-Koran film.
‘I don’t understand why people try to make political profit by provocations that upset maybe millions of people,’ Dimitrij Rupel is quoted as saying in Tuesday’s Volkskrant.
Meanwhile news service ANP reports that Wilders is looking for an alternative venue for the presentation of his film on March 28 because security costs at the Nieuwspoort press centre in The Hague would cost him 'hundreds of thousands' of euros.
