Longer showers boost water use
Friday 07 March 2008
The daily water consumption of the average Dutchman has risen by almost four litres to 127.5 litres since in 2004, according to a survey by research agency TNS-NIPO.
The reason for the increase is that young people shower longer and more frequently than a few years ago. But baths are only taken once in 20 days, says TNS-NIPO.
