Complaint lodged against Wilders' filmThursday 27 March 2008 A lawyer from Lelystad has lodged a police complaint against Dutch MP Geert Wilders’ anti-Islam film which was released on the internet on Thursday evening, reports ANP news service. Els Lucas made the complaint on Thursday evening, claiming the leader of the anti-immigration PVV party breaks the law by creating a link between the number of Muslims and the increase in violence in society. © DutchNews.nl Get the DutchNews.nl newsletter in your mailbox: Click here to subscribe
When the worlds most tolerant nation starts to become intolerant of the intolerant there is surely a valid reason. In the run up to the second world war a man by the name of Winston Churchill sat on the sidelines of politics pointing out the dangers of ignoring the rise of the Third Reich. He was dismissed as a scaremonger, warmonger, paranoid misguided individual by those around him. We know what happened next. Wilders is not a fool. He loves his country and he loves his people, he says what many Dutch people cannot articulate. This is where his support comes from. The movie is designed to get the debate out in the open, get people talking and bring about changes that may stop history repeating itself. By Hannan | March 28, 2008 9:52 AM It's only the truth! He should get an Oscar for that! By Armon | March 28, 2008 11:45 AM So much hate came out of the radical islamists themselves in the video, Wilders did not have to say one word which he cleverly did not. If anything, Geert Wilders has proved his point. By Sandra | March 28, 2008 11:51 AM Place your comments: |

Having just sat through this turgid, badly edited, lightweight 'film' I'm sure that the only thing it will incite in the general populance is boredom. It resembles nothing more than an ill-informed but opionated teenagers school project. That something so flimsy and insignificant can generate such a high level of press in the Netherlands is a sad indication of an insecure and insular culture.
