Pension fund invests in Cher and Timberlake

Thursday 21 February 2008

Songs written by Bon Jovi, Cher, Celine Dion and Justin Timberlake now form part of the investment portfolio of Dutch civil service pension fund ABP.

The fund, one of the biggest in the world, has put €140m into buying some 90,000 song titles from music giant Universal.

ABP has total invested assets of €217bn. A spokesman told news agency ANP it expects to book a 'steady return' on its new buy.
