'Holloway confession a lie', says studentSaturday 02 February 2008 Joran van der Sloot’s confession in which he admitted disposing of the body of Natalee Holloway was a lie, the Dutch student said in a telephone interview on a tv chat show on Friday night. Dutch tv crime reporter Peter R de Vries claims to have solved the mystery of Natalee’s disappearance on the holiday island of Aruba in May 2005 using hidden cameras. His revelations will be broadcast on Sunday night. According to news agency ANP, Van der Sloot admitted to the show he had told a friend that he and Natalee had sex on the beach. She became ill and died. He then called a friend who dumped her body at sea. ‘That is what I told him but it is not true and that is easy to prove,’ he said in the telephone interview on the Pauw & Witteman show. ‘It was stupid, stupid, stupid… No-one has any reason to believe me.’ The man to whom he told the story was an older man he had known for six months, Van der Sloot said. He was a fascinating person who had done ’many things you just can’t do’. Van de Sloot said he was not aware he was being filmed. The Aruban authorities have confirmed they are re-examining the case. 'I have spoken to Joran. I have spoken to his parents and they have spoken with the Aruban prosecutor Hans Mos,' Van der Sloot’s US lawyer Joe Tacopina said on Friday on Fox News. 'There are no concerns that this will lead to a revelation pointing to Joran van der Sloot's guilt.' De Vries said Van der Sloot’s performance on the show as ‘totally unimpressive’ but declined to comment further ahead of his own tv programme on Sunday night.

Crime reporter *Peter R de Vries *cracked many murder cases in the Netherlands. He also exposed a number of mistrials. He made a one and a half hour tv-documentary about the case of the nurse Lucia the Berk. This lady was sentenced for life imprisonment for 7 non-existing murders and 3 non-existing attempts. There is no trace of evidence. A real witch trial with, on the prosecution side, people with severe psychiatric disorders. More than 1000 scientists, among them a Nobel prize winner in physics, and *Peter R de Vries *signed a petition to reopen the case. Due to a stroke she is paralyzed on her right side.
