Final Harry Potter is 2007’s biggest seller

J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows topped the list of best sellers in the Netherlands last year with 591,888 copies sold, according to book publishing organisation CPNB.


In second and third place were Dutch author Sonja Bakker with her latest slimming book and the Dutch translation of Khaled Hosseini’s The Kite Runner, both of which sold over half a million copies.
In total a record 45 million books were sold in 2007. Of the top one hundred titles, 58 were originally Dutch language books.
