Fewer people quit Holland in 2007

The number of people leaving the Netherlands permanently fell by some 9,000 to 123,000 last year, according to the latest figures from the national statistics office CBS.

Two-thirds of those leaving have a minority background, largely first generation immigrants, the CBS says.
Belgium was the most popular destination for the ethnic Dutch, followed by Germany.
