Housing corporation mergers continue

Housing minister Ella Vogelaar gave the green light to 17 mergers between housing corporations last year. House corporations control much of the Netherlands' social housing.

The biggest planned merger, between Ymere and Woonmaatschappij, would create a corporation with 78,000 homes and is still under consideration, Vogelaar said.
