Dutch actor Pierre Bokma won the international Emmy Award for best actor on Monday night for his role in De Uitverkorene (The Chosen).

He shares the prize with the British actor Jim Broadbent for his performance in the BBC tv drama series The Street.
De Uitverkorene, made for tv by Theu Boermans, is the story of the rise and fall of two deeply religious brothers who set up a software company. The film won the Prix Europa for best tv drama earlier this year.
