'Jet set' academic to be professor of Islam

Tuesday 06 November 2007

Muslim theologist Tariq Ramadan has been appointed the first professor of Islam at Leiden university.

The chair is paid for by the sultan of Oman.

Ramadan is known as a moderate, but critics have accused him of being a wolf in sheep's clothing and of spending too much time jetting around the world giving speeches than doing research, the Volkskrant says.

Exactly who thinks he is a moderate? His father started the Muslim Brotherhood, he has ties with Algerian terrorists, regularly praises terrorist activites and endorses sharia.

Ramadan is not moderate, he's just very good at talking away from difficult issues. I met him in Copenhagen a couple months ago. The more people asked real questions, the more he wasted the remaining time of the evening by talking about everything else.

And he's all for stoning, except that in the current political situation a 'moratorium' may be in order, that people do not get a negative perception of Islam.

The guy is throughoutly rotten and should not be admitted to enter any European university. Not to mention teach. No matter how much Arabian oil money goes with the bloke.
