EU extends probe of TeleAtlas takeover

The European Commission is to carry out further research into the takeover of digital map maker Tele Atlas by satellite navigation system company TomTom.

The probe is expected to take a maximum 90 days but this could be extended to 125 days. TomTom is offering €30 a share for Tele Atlas.
