Design duo win first fashion award

Design duo Klavers van Engelen were awarded the first Mercedes Benz Dutch Fashion Award on Thursday evening.
Niels Klaver and Asrid van Engelen began working together in 2000 but last produced a collection, shown in Paris, in 2003.
The duo, whose work is conceptual and includes dresses with multiple sleeves, said the award, which includes a €25,000 cash payment, is a tremendous boost.
