Crime boss suspect Holleeder gets stamp
Wednesday 31 October 2007
Crime boss suspect Willem Holleeder has been immortalised on a 44 cent stamp, commissioned by twice-convicted murderer Martin K, the Telegraaf reports on Wednesday.
Since 2003, TNT Post has allowed consumers to design and print their own stamps for private use. 'When I heard about it, I immediately thought of Holleeder,' Martin K told the paper from behind bars.
TNT, which says it is extremely embarrassed by the affair, says each design is checked for being provocative or pornographic. 'It is possible the committee did not realise it was Holleeder,' a spokesman said.
