Budget cuts threaten social services

Social service departments nationwide are receiving far less money than expected from the social affairs ministry, according to the social services managers organisation Divosa.
For example, Heuvelrug (Zeist) council was faced with a sudden budget cut of 13% last week, Divosa says. It says social services budgets should be set in September, giving councils enough time to make proper plans for the coming year.
