Telegraaf tipped over missing toddlerWednesday 13 June 2007 The Telegraaf says it received an anonymous letter claiming to know the whereabouts of missing British toddler Madeleine McCann. The paper says the letter could be an important lead as it resembles one received last year claiming to know the locations of two missing Belgian girls. The girls' bodies were found 2km from where the letter had indicated. It has now been handed over to the Amsterdam police who have in turn given it to the Portuguese authorities. Madeleine's parents were in the Netherlands last week appealing for help in finding their daughter, who was taken from her bedroom during a family holiday in Portugal. © DutchNews.nl
I hope that she is still alive..Does anyone know what the letter said about her being alive? Please let her be alive and well... By Mickey | June 13, 2007 3:05 PM Another paper claimed the letter said she is buried under rocks and stones not far from where she went missing. I hope this is an hoax By Darren | June 13, 2007 3:43 PM My heart almost stopped when I read the article, but from what I read, it said she could be found "buried under..." By Lisa | June 13, 2007 3:55 PM Please, please let little Madeleine be found safe & well By M Owens | June 13, 2007 4:32 PM All this anxiety about this poor little 3 year old could have been prevented if the parents had not been guilty of child abuse by leaving three babies under the age of three alone in strange surroundings. By Kate | June 13, 2007 10:17 PM While my heart goes out to this family and it is my sincere hope that she is found alive, I still question why the parents not only left their children alone, but alone and away from where they were going. I find it interesting that no one has spoken about that aspect of the case. The crime rate in my local Dutch city is very low and the local market area is directly across the street from my house and I would not dare leave my daughter (who is also 4) at home asleep while I ran to the store. It breaks my heart that this family is going through all of this, but no matter how hard I try, I just can't get it through my head that a parent would leave their child like that... in a foreign place no less!
