The Hague lends football club ADO €6.5m

The Hague city council has lent local football club ADO Den Haag €6.5m over 10 years to tide it over financial problems stemming from the building of a new stadium.

Legal procedures by opponents led to the stadium being two years behind schedule. It will now be handed over to the club in June.
The council approved the loan, at a low rate of interest, by a narrow majority.
