Lelystad airport gets green light to grow

Lelystad airport has been given the green light to process a maximum four million passengers a year on the condition it does not allow night flights and that strict noise targets are met.

The Schiphol group, which owns Lelystad, wants to shift some flights to the regional airport. Lelystad council, which approved the expansion on Thursday night, expects it to create 3,200 new jobs.
