Dutch more positive about Germans

The Dutch see Germans in a more positive light than ever before, according to a regional newspaper survey. Some 32% of those questioned thought more highly of them than ten years ago.


The Netherlands’ eastern neighbours were generally seen as friendly and hardworking. More than half the respondents believed the two countries should work together within Europe, while 73% believed that Germans should now be welcomed at the Remembrance Day events
