Works of art disappear from gov’t offices

Thousands of works of art owned by ministries and local councils have gone missing while on loan to other departments and various governmental bodies, says culture minister Ronald Plasterk.


The minister has made financial agreements to compensate for the loss of almost 5,000 items – including a painting by Karel Appel – with a total value of €5m.
