Two arrested in Utrecht disturbancesTuesday 13 March 2007 Police arrested two people last night after disturbances broke out in the Ondiep area of Utrecht. One police officer was slightly injured when stones were thrown at a police car. The trouble was apparently connected to the shooting dead of an Ondiep man by police on Sunday night. It began when a large group of youths began to move through the neighbourhood, throwing stones and setting small fires. Attempts were made to set a police station on fire and its windows were smashed. Riot police were brought in to disperse the gang.
