Zwartboek makes Oscar shortlist

Paul Verhoeven's film Zwartboek (Black Book) is one of nine films on the shortlist for the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. Zwartboek, which has taken over €7m at the Dutch box office, was one of a record 61 submissions.

The list of nine will be whittled down to the final five on January 23. The Academy Awards are on February 25.
