Wolters Kluwer has put its school book operations on the market for €700m, British newspaper the Daily Telegraph reports today.
The paper says a number of parties - unit including Sanoma, Pearson and Lagardere - have approached Wolters Kluwer about taking over its educational publishing. Reed Elsevier has denied it is interested.
Venture capital groups 3i, Candover, Cinven and Providence have also been mentioned as possible candidates. Analysts quoted by the Financieele Dagblad put the likely price of the unit at between €600m and €750m.
