One dead in Amsterdam private club shooting

One man was shot dead during an armed raid on a private club on the Jacob van Lennepkade in Amsterdam on Sunday morning. Police said a number of armed and masked men burst into the club just before 7.30 am and demanded money. One man was shot dead in the ensuing scuffle.
The Sociëteit Reyes is known for its occasional poker tournaments, ANP reported. The club is also popular with chess and drafts players.
