KPN increases market share

Former state-owned telecoms firm KPN booked net profits of €349 mln in the third quarter of this year, up from the €334 mln booked one year ago.

KPN said its mobile phone division performed better than expected, winning market share in both the Netherlands and Germany. Additionally, KPN is now the biggest supplier of internet telephony in the Netherlands and says it has also managed to slow down the decline in fixed telephony contracts.
