A police photo showing the aftermath of the party
Utrecht police have issued fines and arrested dozens of people after breaking up an illegal party in a warehouse on an industrial estate in the north of the city on Monday night.
Eight people who are said to have organised the party, which also had a DJ, were also picked up.
The police went to the location after a tip-off, and sealed off the entrances so all partygoers could be checked as they tried to leave.
In total, 57 people were given on the spot fines and 54, who were without ID, were taken to an arrest centre to wait for family members to bring their papers, police said in a statement.
People caught breaking coronavirus rules can be fined €95. Officials handed out almost 46,600 fines in the first year of coronavirus measures.
