Police seize over €1m in cash in two Amsterdam incidents

Amsterdam police have arrested three people in two separate incidents, all of whom were found to be have large amounts of cash.

In one case, an 18-year-old man was picked up in Amsterdam for suspected drugs dealing. Police found €45,000 in cash and 1.5 kilos of hashish at his home in the east of the city.

In the second case, police found an estimated €1m in a car after a stop and search operation. Two men, one aged 39 from Diemen and a 33-year-old Amsterdammer, have been remanded in custody for two weeks.

They are suspected of money laundering.
