Subscriptions to television, internet and telephone services are set to rise by between €20 and €40 a year from July, the Telegraaf reported, citing comparison website Pricewise.

Ziggo will increase costs by an average of €1.65 a month. The provider said the price hike is needed to increase investment in its network so it could offer broader and faster data services to customers.

KPN’s prices for TV, internet and telephone are set to rise by €2.50 to €3.50 a month, also due to the need for increased investment. Internet speed will also increase.

Only T-Mobile will keep charges unchanged, Pricewise said.

Subscribers will be allowed to cancel their contracts with Ziggo, KPN and XS4All without paying a fine because their charges are rising faster than inflation, Pricewise points out.
