Two employees of public transport firm Connexxion were killed after a bus repair went wrong on Thursday, reports ANP.

The governmental SZW inspection service is investigating the cause of the accident on company grounds in Almere.

Two employees were apparently repairing on a bus that was on a special lifting bridge but which, for unknown reasons, fell.

Omroep Flevoland reports that the investigation is expected to take three months.
