Dutch staffing agency Randstad has taken over US peer Monster Worldwide for some €397m.
Randstad is paying $3.40 per share for Monster, which operates in more than 40 countries. It is best known in the Netherlands for Monsterboard, one of the country’s biggest jobs boards.
Monster will remain an independent organisation with Randstad, the company said in a statement.
The Dutch group, one of the biggest staffing agencies in the world, has made a string of recent acquisitions, including freelance platform Twago and Japanese peer Careo Group.
