A four-year-old boy was killed when a car driven by a car thief ploughed into another vehicle on a country road near the village of Zelhem in Gelderland.
The boy’s three-year-old sister was seriously injured and both parents were also hurt. The family comes from Gouda.
The car thief apparently drove into the car carrying the family when he tried to overtake another vehicle, according to police reports.
The car thief, who is said to be slightly injured, has been arrested, the Telegraaf says.
The paper says the thief had stolen the white car at knife point earlier in the morning.
