Dutch exports to Iran grew by 21% in 2015

The value of goods exported from the Netherlands reached €450 million, putting Iran 64th in the ranking order of destinations, according to figures published by national statistics office CBS.

Medical equipment made up more than one-third of all exports.

In 2011, as the US and European Union trade embargo was being phased in, Dutch companies exported €600 million worth of goods to Iran.

Before 2010 the country was one of the main suppliers of oil to the Netherlands, selling €944 million worth in 2009, but all imports were suspended in 2012.
