Police hunt owner of snakes, tortoises dumped in woods to die

animals dumped reptiles deadPolice in Tilburg have appealed for information following the discovery of dozens of dead reptiles which were dumped in the woods.

A council worker stumbled across the grisly find on Wednesday.

The animals – 22 snakes, 16 tortoises and a tarantula spider – were left in several crates and bags close to the road to Eindhoven in Berkel-Enschot.

The reptiles are thought to have been there for several days.
