Dutch female aid worker kidnapped in Afghanistan: report

Afghan broadcaster Tolo is reporting that a Dutch woman has been kidnapped in Afghanistan. The information is said to come from the Afghan foreign affairs ministry and has not yet been confirmed by Dutch officials.

One foreign journalist in Kabul, Sune Engel Rasmussen, said on Twitter the woman is an NGO worker and was taken from a district of Kabul which is popular with foreigners.

Aid umbrella group Cordaid and Save the Children told news agency ANP they do not have any Dutch woman among their field staff but other aid groups have not yet responded.

Earlier on Monday there was an attack on the Afghan parliament in which some 20 people were injured.
