Media magnate John de Mol is the most successful Dutchman abroad, according to a new ranking by the Telegraaf.
De Mol (57) devised the Big Brother and The Voice reality show formats, heads the Endermol production group and has a large stake in SBS television.
Second on the Telegraaf’s list is popular orchestra leader André Rieu and third is queen Máxima, whom the paper says has put the Netherlands on the map with her charm and intelligence.
Physicist and Nobel prize winner André Geim is in fourth place and dj Armin van Buuren, several times voted the best dj in the world, is fifth.
