Few female professors at Dutch universities

Fewer than 15% of the professors at Dutch universities are female even though more women graduate than men, according to new research by the De Beauvoir foundation, which campaigns to boost the number of women in academia.

Only Belgium, Cyprus and Luxembourg have fewer female academics, the survey shows.
Nevertheless, women have now overtaken men when it comes to a basic degree: 53.6% of graduates are now female, as are 44.7% of post graduate students.
Radboud University in Nijmegen has most female professors and lecturers, Eindhoven University of Technology the fewest.
