Aircraft maker Fokker to open plant in Mexico

Fokker Aerostructures, part of the Fokker Technologies group, is opening a factory in Mexico to reduce costs and better serve the US market, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Friday.

The move would also mark the start of a new international approach, the paper says.
Spokeswoman Marianne Mulder told the FD the Mexican plant will not affect jobs in the Netherlands and that expansion in Papendrecht and Hoogeveen is also under way.
Fokker also has factories in Romania and the US.
Fokker Technologies is part of the industrial group Stork.
