Former transport minister spent €1.2m opening new roads
Former transport minister Camiel Eurlings spent €1.2m on opening parties for new road projects, free newspaper De Pers reports on Wednesday.
Most money – €130,000 – was spent on the opening for the A2 near Eindhoven in 2010 where the main attraction was a ballet to Ravel’s Bolero performed by diggers.
The average price of an opening party was €32,000.
