Television company RTL Nederland and mobile phone firm Vodafone are launching a new mobile phone brand targeting women aged 20 to 40, the Financieele Dagblad reports.
‘Gadgets are far too emphasised when it comes to mobile phone services,’ said Vodafone CEO Jens Schulte-Bockum. ‘For women we are going to focus more on ease of use.’
The two companies declined to say what the new service is being called. It will be formally launched in February. The new service aims to attract 100,000 users, the paper said.
RTL and Vodafone already work together on tv talent show The Voice of Holland and there are other ideas in the pipeline, RTL director Bert Habets told the paper.
