Dutch GDP per person is second highest in Europe

The Dutch produced more wealth per head of the population than all but one other European country, according to new figures from the European statistics office Eurostat.

Last year, only Luxembourg had a higher GDP per head of the population than the Netherlands. And the earned national income per Dutch national was 30% higher than the European average, Eurostat said.
Luxembourg’s leading position is due to its large financial sector and small population.
