Protest at Wilders’ speech

Christian Democrat senator Hans Hillen told a radio programme on Saturday that Geert Wilders’ speech at a demonstration in New York on September 11 is ‘risky for the Netherlands’.

Wilders will have the eyes of the world on him and must realise he is representing the Netherlands, according to the senator. He must take account of national interests and limit what he says.
Wilders, who will speak in protest at plans to build a mosque close to the site of Ground Zero, told ANP in a reaction that he will say what he likes.
