Mafia mates?

Jort Kelder, the sharp-minded editor of business magazine Quote and Bram Moszkowicz, criminal law expert extraordinaire, are embroiled in a bizarre online slanging match on Moszkowicz’s defence of crime boss suspect Willem Holleeder.

Quote’s website is now dominated by a bright red banner explaining why the magazine has decided not to publish any more bloggers’ reactions to the brawl, pending the outcome of an injunction next week.
Moszkowicz wants Quote to stop publishing ‘libellous accusations and untruths’ and says the website must stop giving a platform to the public to stir up ‘feelings of hatred’.
Kelder has accused Moszkowicz of playing a double role. He is representing Holleeder in his blackmail trial but used to be the lawyer for Willem Endstra, one of those Holleeder is alleged to have blackmailed. Holleeder and Moszkowicz are ‘mafia mates’, Kelder told a radio show last week.
