Grid capacity shortage for green power

The building of renewable power plants is being frustrated by a shortage of high-tension grid capacity, the Volkskrant reports on Wednesday.


The paper says space for electricity transmission has been reserved for a number of new large coal-fired plants, and there is no room for more wind turbines or combined heat and power (CHP) plants.
