Dead intruder ´not stabbed with pitchfork´

The intruder killed after attempting to break into a farm in Nuenen, near Eindhoven, was not stabbed with a pitchfork but drowned in a pond, news agency ANP reports.
Police have yet to comment on the official cause of death. But in Tuesday´s Eindhovens Dagblad, farm resident Bentje Bisseling says he was struggling with the victim and ´decided to hold him under the water until he let go´.
Bisseling claims he and his 55-year-old partner Mimi van Deurzen found the man in the garden in the early hours of Sunday morning and that he first attacked Van Deuzen with the pitchfork. Defending his friend, Bisseling and the intruder ended up in the pond.
Bisseling said he did not stab the man with the pitchfork as claimed by the Telegraaf on Monday.
